The UN 2019 Climate Summit will convene on the theme ‘A Race We Can Win. A Race We Must Win,’ and seek to challenge states, regions, cities, companies, investors and citizens to step up action in six areas: energy transition, climate finance and carbon pricing, industry transition, nature-based solutions, cities and local action, and resilience.

During this event political, managerial and technical municipal representatives come together to learn about and obtain strategic tools of the future together with the members of Federation of Canadian Municiplaities (FCM).

The International Conference on Climate Change will focus on scaling up and speeding up coordinated and integrated climate action across all levels and sectors of government, identifying the levers that matter in key sectors and the solutions that make a difference.

This year, the APFSD will address the theme “’Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality” and on the cluster of SDGs to be reviewed at the HLPF

This 3rd UCLG Culture Summit is a global event and a meeting point of cities, local governments, national governments, civil society organizations, and international organizations to discuss the current position of culture in the global agendas.

Africa Climate Week (ACW) 2019 will convene in the lead-up to the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Summit in September 2019, bringing together diverse actors from the public and private sectors.
