Global Covenant of Mayors launches regional chapter in South Asia to help build more climate resilient cities

The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, within the context of the South Asian Cities Summit, launched a regional chapter for South Asia in New Delhi, India. GCoM-South Asia aims to support the efforts of cities in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions and make their communities more resilient towards the unavoidable effects of climate change.
